SS Challenge week 14

I am happy to announce that we have a record number of layouts for the past week! They are not totally challenge related but that is perfectly fine. The only reason we do have challenges is to motivate ourselves to do something creative and to find which starting points work best for us. So, here we go. I loved the chance to use journaling block, and think it adds both interest and design. Here's my page:

Katya made 12x12 layout in similar colors to mine but a little softer or subdued tones. My favorite things about her page are layers, color choice, threaded ribbon and felt flowers that add perfect contrast for the page. Here is Katya's page "Just Me":

Lora's design is so unique on this page, that I didn't even realize that it was 8.5x11 format at first. That is one of my favorite things about her page along with very cute pictures, layered papers and the fact that she was actually able to use journaling block. Here is Lora's Page:


Anka send two pages in this time and told me to pick one. One? How can I pick only one? I'm sure girls wanted to see them both too. Her first page "Love" was done in 12x12 format (I think that's the only one she uses) and I really like her straight line design here. Cutout heart paper overlay, matte for the photo and title have to be my favorite details here:


It has been forever since I wanted to use blue with orange for a beach layout. Anka inspired me to do that! Pages with journaling make me happy. I like her journaling block, photo corners, ribbon with word and Basic Gray stickers on the page. Here is her layout "My treasure":

    It's so funny, Anya, that you mentioned about me using only 12x12 formats because the beach layout was actually done 8.5x11 at first and then after I completed it, I thought it looks very small so then I just found this 12x12 paper that Katya gave me and I glued that layout on it. I thought it worked awesome! And, yea, orange and blue for the beach looks very sunny and warm.
    It's so funny that all 3 of you did light green with other color layouts this week. I like each one of them. I think that Katya's layouts are getting more and more creative each time.Very pretty and girly and I'm so glad she discovered something new that she enjoys. Anya's and Lora's unique and beautiful as always. And I also think that Lora's style changed maybe slightly...maybe it' just me...

    Kstati, Anya, a chto za Basic Grey stickers? Is that the brand or something?

    It did work out great. Now, I see that forst page :)) And, yes, Basic Grey is a name brand (very popular). I have their "Offbeat" paper collection, and these letter stickers are from the same collection too. (totally match the paper):)
    Anka, how did you end up with such a clean style on the baby page? Is your style changes too?

    Beautiful pages everyone!!!
    Anya-love the journaling, especially since you printed it. All the other little details add to the whole page!
    Katya-my favorite part is the threaded ribbon and punched border, the whole page just works so well together!
    Anka-2 pages? Of course you have to :) making up for the week that you didn't hand one it :) Both pages have lovely color choices, love the hearts on the "love" page.

    I'm not sure about my style changing...maybe as I create more, it's molding and shaping my scrapbooking because to tell you the truth, I haven't scrapbooked much before this, I did one project a while back and that was it, everything else was in my head :) Also, I like to try new things and maybe it comes across as a change in style :) We'll see ;)

    Anya, to be honest, I still don't like clean style as much as I do my "lot's of details styles". I don't know how I ended up with that style, I was tempted to add and add and add, but on the other hand with the way the layout ended up, I couldn't really add any more because the base paper was already very printy all over. That's how that happened. But on the other hand, I do want my scrapbooking pages to be varying slightly every now and then.

    Wow,three of us did green pages. Lora, i see you really got into scrapbooking. Always think ahead of time and do your pages on time. Very nice pages, everyone.

    Katya I see your work really improved, did any of your scrapbook neibors help you with this one? I like it a lot, I do like everyone's pages, its just nice to see a beginner scrapbooker to do such a great job. Well done Katya!

    Marusya, no nobody helped me. And I didn't scraplift it either. Some days I m just very creative. But I do not have a lot of those days...Thank u
