Happy Birthday little girl!

Fifteen years ago on September 25 we were blessed with a perfect gift - baby girl. Still remember that day when I called my mom from the hospital and she started talking to me like the day before and telling about this and that and then she asked how I was doing...  you can imagine her reaction when I told her I was doing great holding on hands my first baby girl. No one knew we had to rush to the hospital.

Today my baby is 15. When did this happen? If I could turn the clock back I would take many many more pictures - hundreds more, thousands! I would write more about her personality and the things she said - she was very good at it. I would collect her art. She loved to draw. I guess, what I'm saying is - I wish I was a scrapbooker back then!

We don't usually make huge birthday parties, but we do like to have a cake with a family. Yesterday was no exception. I made a cake...

grandma brought her signature style cake which was so rich and moist...

... and my sister came over with the most incredible apple strudel you could possibly have. It is easily added to my "The best thing I ever ate" list! It was perfect in every single way as is but that homemade caramel drizzle made it even better!

Can't wait for the next holiday or party because Irina is making this strudel again! Well, she doesn't know about it yet :)

Oh, almost forgot... Sasha brought some balloons too... I don't have a picture of them, but I guess I should since they are super special...

That's it for today and I'll be back with a project pretty soon!
Have a great day!

Yellow plus gray...

Hi all! I'm here with a new page today. I had two sets of pictures that both worked for the page and I struggled with a decision which ones to use, so I decided to go with the ones that already had a story to go with them.

It's another 8.5x11 page:

Gray and Yellow is one of my favorite color combinations. I love to see those on Pinterest too:

So, when I saw a new 6x6 Paper pack by My Mind's Eye at Micheal's I just had to have it! Both of these sets are just gorgeous! Love every single page in them and could use if not both sides then either front or back. Second set with blues will be great on boy's page:)

I used some papers from the set on this page and loved them! Here are just a few more close ups:can't complete a page without some stitching.

Used lots of banners that are so in style right now...

The last White House / Black Market magazine back cover had some beautiful butterflies on. I had to rip it right off and save it. Some people might look at it as trash - I see embellishments in it! Here I used on of those butterflies on this page.

Thank you so much for coming over and have the best day ever!

I'll see you soon!

It's beginning to feel a lot like FALL...

Still can't believe it's fall already, but I agree with Lora, every season does have it's beauty. And I do love fall. I just wasn't ready for it yet. But I am enjoying the cooler weather though.

So... I don't know where to start. I try to do so much while our little one is taking a nap! I type too fast (thinking our little one might wake up any minute) and then delete, and rewrite again... because my four year old keeps asking questions and showing me her new ideas...

Here is my sweet little reason I can't blog as often as I would like to:

He is the reason I don't get much done. He is the reason I learn how to work with one hand. He is the reason we whisper at home. He is the reason I wake up a few time every night. He is the reasons I don't go much anywhere. But he is the reason we smile, and laugh, and love, and give thanks, and hear someone kissing him once again! He is the best reason I could ask for and we love him beyond measure! He is just a little angel.

Yes, he does have a golden shade in his hair, but these pictures look a little too orangee. Pictures were taken yesterday at sunset by the window.

Now, back to scrapbooking... On the latest Roundtable Episode there was a discussion brought by a Roundtable listener about how to work with pictures that were cut in shapes years ago. It was a trend back then and unfortunately I have some of those circle cut pictures too. Just thinking about that makes me flinch:((

I decided to pull one of those circle cut photos and use it on a layout. I found a layout by Marie-Laure and used it as a guide to make my page.

I went with the fall theme for colors and picture, but my story has nothing to do with the event. I really want to tell more meaningful stories. Instead of writing how we decided to go take a few pictures before fall was over, and on our trip we didn't find much of the pretty fall scenery... I just wrote something I wanted to tell my daughter back then...

This is very simple LO and was just made this morning.

Feels good to have complete a page.

Thanks for stopping by. Thank you everyone who takes a minute to leave a couple of words. This way I know you were here. Have a great day and enjoy this gorgeous fall weather!

My "reason" is calling me :) See you soon!

Last day...

It was Myrtle Beach and it was good...

How come vacations end so soon? Again, so thankful for photography! I think it was the best thing ever invented. We will not remember everything, but pictures will bring so many memories back...

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon!

My cousin's wedding...

Hello! I wanted to share a few pictures from a wedding we attended on September 1st. My sisters and I did the flowers for this wedding. We love flowers! They make us happy. And working with them is so much easier then working with people. They don't complain that you cut them too short... or put them in the wrong arrangement... or that you place it by the flower it doesn't want to stand by... They are very so beautiful and so humble...

This place was gorgeous, but unfortunately, too dark for decent pictures...

I loved all the details in the place settings:

The bride looked stunning...

Here they are just before entering the reception hall:

That dessert table looked so delicious! It is still one of my favorite sites from the wedding!

So, that was the end result, which all started here at my sister's garage:

This is only a small part of all the flowers we had to use. We kept the rest of them away from the heat inside the house. One wedding down, two more to go this year...

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon!
