It was Jennifer Gallacher's layout. I love how these colors that she picked really work for a teenage girl page. I even happened to have two of the same papers that she used in my own stash, so I just took the guessing out of my work and used them too.
I've included a personal note to my daughter in that envelope. It's always a great way to do journaling when I don't feel like typing or don't have time for that :)
There's one more thing that I wanted to share with you today...
Did you ever wonder if you could use your Silhouette for something else besides scrapbooking?
I did. This weekend I made a Tiramisu cake and before sifting cocoa powder to the top of my cake, I added a little design to it. I have kept a few negative pieces from Silhouette cut paper (these leaves were used for wedding invitations) and this is what I got by placing two pieces side by side:
Not perfect, but I think it's a nice little twist on a traditional plain cocoa powder covered cake! It may be a little challenging to pull paper of, but it you let the cake stand in the fridge before decorating, it will come off pretty easily.
Thanks for visiting my creative corner and have a great day! Hope to see you soon!
That is a beautiful LO! Love those pictures of Alyona, and the envalope with a personal note is so special. Very nice!!!
