Thank you, Winter!

Just as I make a page with a complain letter to winter, two days later it surprises us with snow! If I only knew, I would have written that letter much earlier, so we could have white Christmas and New Years...

Just a few happy pictures of the day. It sure did bring much joy to some little people...

It started with a serious job of shoveling driveway...

Winter layout!

Hi! I decided to go back in the season and make a snow layout with a complaint to winter.

I've never mixed blues and reds on the same page, but really loved those winter paper collections that had this color combination in them. And for these pictures, Suzanna's coat dictated these colors for my page:

I can't seem to complete a layout without sticking a tab and a circle somewhere on a page:

Looking back...

Привет всем! Работая над альбомом "Project Life", я заметила что прошлым летом у меня часто встечаются фото моей новой подружки, которая за короткое врямя стала для меня как сестричка. Сегодня у меня была возможность увидиться и поговорить с ней по Skype, и снова захотелось встретиться, посидеть рядом за чашкой чая, повспоминать о прошлом... Не знаю насколько эта мечта воплотима, но о новой встрече мы не будем терять надежды.

А пока нас разделяют тысячи киллометров, по ее просьбе хочу поделиться моментами наших прошедших праздников, так как она не смогла быть рядом и ей пришлось их праздновать на другом континенте нашей планеты. Даша, это тебе:

Blueberries...

Is it the "blueberry picking" season yet? I wish it was. It is our favorite out of all picking available in the area we live. Today's layout features pictures from one of those moments.

I really wanted to include a close up photo of blueberries, but then I realized I don't have many layouts with photos of relatives, so for that reason I included family instead. And it's probably not the last LO about blueberries, so I can include that photo later.

Unfortunately, colors don't uppear here as they do in real life. I love those blue stickers by Basic Grey, but they look almost white here. Brown colors look black and the colors in pictures should be a little warmer too.

As you can see I had to double the green papers. First one was glued on and already stitched until I for sure decided to put journaling there, so there went another piece on top. Still can't learn to think of story at the beginning...

Now is time to go work on something not as fun. My kids have two days off school next week, and we already have too much planned and I hope to go back and work on some journaling for the 2011 Project Life with them. By the way - ALL the pictures are in and I LOVE it!

My new favorite item

Happy Tuesday everyone! I have finished a LO that was started last Friday, but I can's seem to go back to completing my DD. Holidays are over and I don't feel the same way I did during the month of December. We even took our Christmas tree down yesterday. Some snow would REALLY help right now. A lot of it! Otherwise I'll keep scrapping summer memories.

Here is a simple layout about some of our favorite memories of the 2010 summer:

I used a cluster of embellishments to add some balance to the page:

And for the "summer '10" I used my new very favorite item in scrapbooking world - it's a LilyBeeDesign letter stickers:

I can see now why people like them so much. They come in one 12x12 sheet of paper (I cut them in half for storage reason) with eight different sets of letter stickers. Perfect for so many reasons! Wish I could own every one of them. No, two of each!

And I also decided to finally share a peek of that mini album I've talked about a number of times here but never finished it.

Hopefully now I'll be up to completing this project before it goes totally out of style. I'm just not a very good writer and this little book requires a lot of it. Well, I do have a few stories down, but want to share them all together.

Now, there was a promise at the Shutterfly site that my pictures should arrive today. So, hopefully they will be here today, so I have more stuff to work with.

First LO of 2012

I know it's kinda out of season, but isn't that one of the reasons we love scrapbooking so much? We can be anywhere anytime we choose to be. That is my favorite part. Calendar says it's January, but I've been enjoying warm August day all morning...

I've had these pictures for quite some time and I knew I'll be using these papers with them, but it's officially the first layout of the year:

I LOVE layers. All these papers on the side don't really have a purpose. They just make me happy. Well, I guess they do have a purpose then...

I found this sticker phrase and thought it would go well with the LO:

Welcome 2012!

Happy New Year! (I wouldn't mind some snow at this point.) It's kind of sad that this magic season is over:( The magic season, that can also be described as season of no exercise and too much candy...

I know it's January 4th and I just decided to say "Happy New Year", but this post was initially planned to be posted on the 30th of December. Well, I don't really want to start a New Year with excuses... Instead, I want to share something I've been spending lots of time on.

The last week of December I got a package with this stuff in it:

Back in November when I was looking through folders and more folders of pictures from 2011, I realized it was a good year. I really wanted to have some of these photos printed and have them available to look at with family and friends. I also realized that I will never be able to make that many layouts to cover all the little moments and blessings we had that year.

So the solution was to go with a Project Life. That doesn't mean at all that I will stop doing traditional layouts (I actually can't wait to finally make one), it's just a desire to have a glimpse of the full year in one album.

You've probably seen me already use a few of these little journaling cards in my December Daily. They are my favorite part of the kit.

While waiting on the picture order, I placed a few of the pictures I had on hand in the pockets...

Can't wait to fill it up. I hope to have it done (not the journaling part though) by the time we meet for our party, to have something new for you to see, since you've seen most of my DD already.
